The DIL in Quakenbrück is an international research institute with about 200 experts in food technology. It operates in the fields of food safety, sustainability and structure and processes of applied food science.
In 2017, the Nutrition Cluster and the Competence Center for Nutrition (KErn), together with experts from business, science and administration, created scenarios that describe possible developments in the food industry up to 2030. The Nutrition Cluster supports Bavarian players in the agricultural and food industry. In this way, regional value chains can be established or existing ones can be further developed.
